Donna I. Corbin, age 71, of Bradner, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria. She was born on December 23, 1951, in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Earnest D. & Maxine E. (Franks) Smith. Donna married Kenneth “Butch” Corbin, Jr. on March 10, 1973, at Mt. Zion United Brethren Church near Wayne.
Surviving Donna is her loving husband of 50 years, Butch; sons, Michael Ray Corbin of Bradner, Brian Lee Corbin of Risingsun; brothers, Marvin Smith of Risingsun, Dale Smith, Roger Smith both of Wayne; Norman (Norma) Smith of Rudolph, Kenneth (Sally) Smith of Risingsun; sister, Karen Smith of Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest & Maxine; brothers, Darol, Ervan, Ronald; sister, Barbara Smith; and sister-in-law, Kristi Smith.
Donna was a 1972 graduate of Elmwood High School, and then worked in Housekeeping at the former Buckeye Budget in Bowling Green, and then 5 years at Bowling Green State University. She had a passion for collecting angels and dolls, had a special love for owls, and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and monopoly, and attending the Wood County & Pemberville Fairs, and the Luckey Fall Fest. Her greatest love in life though, was spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 2-5 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 11 AM.
