Doris D. Harris, 93, of Bowling Green, passed away on April 5, 2017. She was born on March 10, 1924 in Weston, OH. To Harry and Marguerite (Hills) Irwin. She married William M. Harris on April 11, 1942 and he preceded in death. Also preceding her in death was her special friend, Roger Hoffsis in 1975. Doris had been a cook for BGSU Dining Services. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Bowling Green Country Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Doris enjoyed cooking for her family, playing cards with girlfriends, hosting pool parties, and camping and traveling. Doris was a lifelong Detroit Tiger’s fan, she was a volunteer at Wood County Hospital and had been a seamstress for Bowling Green ice shows in the 70’s. She is survived by sons; Dennis of Atlanta, GA., David (Kathie) of Findlay, OH. And William (Linda) of Bowling Green, one daughter; Lori Harris (Darrin) Farr of Hamilton, OH. Also left to mourn her passing are seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were brothers; Eldon and Harold Irwin and sister; Goldie Wisnofske. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 beginning at 10:30am at Dunn Funeral Home located in Bowling Green’s Historical District at 408 W. Wooster St. Pastor Melanie Haack will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Friday at the funeral. Interment is at Weston Cemetery.
