Dr. Briant Hamor Lee Sr., 84, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away September 25, 2022. He was born May 6, 1938 in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Alfred McClung II and Elizabeth (Briant) Lee. He married Nancy White in 1962 and she survives in Bowling Green.
Along with his wife of 60 years, Nancy, Briant is survived by his son Briant Jr. (Tammy) Lee of Wayne, Ohio and daughter Guinevere (Gerald) Cassidy of Phoenix, Arizona and grandson Briant Hamor Lee III.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Alfred McClung Lee III.
Dr. Lee worked as a Professor of Theater History at Bowling Green State University. He also served as the head of Film Studies at BGSU. He was a member of the Zenobia Shriners where he was a former Potentate, member of the Wood County Masonic Lodge #112 where he was a past Master and was a member of the Knight of the York Cross of Honor. He was a philatelist and enjoyed collecting old coins.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
