Drew Michael Rowe, 31, of the Bowling Green, Ohio area, died in his home in Tampa, Florida on September 25, 2023. Drew was born August 27, 1992, to Kimberly Hatton and Michael Ricci. Following the death of Michael Ricci in 1993, Drew was adopted by Melvin (Mel) Rowe, who died supporting the United States in Afghanistan in 2004. Drew is survived by his mother and chosen family, Kimberly Hatton and C. David Maxey; sister, Sidney Rowe; brother and sister, Lucas (Luke) Rowe and Haley Frager; sisters, Liliana and Annabeth Maxey; fiancée, Rachael Pisano; Aunt and Uncle, Michelle and Robert (Bob) Furlong; Aunt, Carla Uzelac; Uncle, Craig (CJ) Daniels, Jr.; Uncle and Aunt, Richard (Rick) and Janet (Jan) Rowe; Aunt and Uncle, Laura Ricci King and Jeff King; Uncle and Aunt, Marcus and Jeannie Ricci; and many cousins and other family he loved. Drew was predeceased by great grandmother, Anna (Annie) Hatton; grandparents, Colenne and Craig Daniels; and grandfather, Charles (Charlie) Rowe.
After graduating from Otsego High School in Tontogany, Ohio and earning a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) through Penta Career Center, Drew attended Bowling Green State University for a year, and he worked at a number of Bowling Green and Waterville area restaurants and bars for much of his life. Drew settled down with his partner and best friend, Rachael, and they made a beautiful life together in Tampa, Florida.
Drew was loved by an overwhelming number of people, especially in the Bowling Green and Waterville communities. He was charismatic, witty, unique, wild, and a protector. He felt everything so deeply and always made sure the people he loved knew it.
There will be a celebration of Drew’s life for his many friends and family at 2pm on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Shawn’s Irish Tavern in Waterville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the APA Psychology Advocacy Fund at https://www.apaservices.org/advocacy.
