Earl E. Wiseman, 82, of Portage, Ohio passed away Tuesday April 18, 2017. He was born May 11, 1934 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Roy and Luella (Hagemeyer) Wiseman. He married Sharon Meade on January 11, 1961 and she preceded him in death in 2010.
Earl served his country in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Portage Township High School and attended Cloverdale United Methodist Church. He served as the Jerry City Fire Chief and was a Boy Scout Leader. Earl was a volunteer and courier for Bridge Hospice.
He is survived by his sons Charles (Gwen) Wiseman of Tiffin, Ohio, Earl Jr. (Melissa) Wiseman of Jerry City, Ohio and Timothy Wiseman of Jerry City, Ohio, daughters Vickie (Chuck) Grimm of Perrysburg, Ohio and Jenny (Michael) Myers of Bowling Green, Ohio, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife Sharon, Earl was preceded in death by his brother Alan Wiseman, sisters Carol Solarik and Lynn Bankey and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street. Rev. Rosanne Kalinowski and Rev. Meg Knape will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by the Wood County Honor Detail. Visitation will begin Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
