Randall P Cajka

Randall P. Cajka, age 58, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Monday, evening, April 17, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, OH. He was born on November 19, 1958 to Frank and Roberta (Sattler) Cajka in Oregon, OH. After graduation from Eastwood High School he later attended Tiffin University on a baseball scholarship where he was credited for pitching a “No Hitter” during his time there. After graduation he married Donna Scherger on April 19, 1985 in New Riegel, OH. Randall was an Auditor for the State of Ohio for 20+ years before retiring. He would later start a career as a sports official, refereeing numerous sports activities throughout the area. Randall’s memberships included Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Ohio High School Athletic Association, just to name a few. He had a love of sports and a very enormous passion for kids, quietly helping the friends of his own children through some very rough times. Randall’s mantra was “no child gets left behind” and he lived what he believed. His family will remember him most for his very big heart and enduring smile.

Randall is survived by his wife Donna of 32 years, children: Rudy (Emily) Cajka of Bowling Green, OH, Brittany (Nick) Koval of Helena, OH, Kailee (Robert Morgan) Cajka of Bowling Green, OH, grandchildren; Emma and Bailey, brother: Rick (Nancy) Cajka of Perrysburg, OH, sister: Amy Jo (Randy) Varner of Bowling Green, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105 Pemberville, OH. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville, OH where additional visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until time of service. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Musteric. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Memorials may take the form of contributions to: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lakota High School Athletic Boosters or the Eastwood High School Athletic Boosters.
