Earl F Wegman

Earl F. Wegman, age 88, of Gibsonburg and formerly of Pemberville, OH passed away on Friday evening, November 4, 2016 at Windsor Lane Heath Care, Gibsonburg, OH, with his wife and family near his side. Earl was born on June 5, 1928 in Pemberville, OH to Fred and Caroline (Miller) Wegman. Earl graduated from Pemberville High School in 1948. In June of 1953 he married Joyce A. Rubel at the Salem “Swietz” Lutheran Church in Pemberville. As a Farmer the greater part of his working life he and Joyce would raised four children together. In the later years of his career he would work as a courier for Sky Bank. Earl was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Germany for two years as part of the occupation force; as such he was a member of the Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post #183. Other past memberships included the Pemberville Calf Club, Salem “Sweitz” Lutheran church where he was on the church Dart Ball League and the Church Vestry.

Earl is survived by his wife of 63 years: Joyce, children: Linda (Scott) Hindall of Gibsonburg, Harmon Wegman of Gibsonburg, Brenda Roth of Gibsonburg, grandchildren: Brandon (Stacey) Roth of Holland, Briana Roth of Gibsonburg, Brett Roth of Little Rock AK, Zach (Ashley) Roth of Bowling Green, Nicole (Yamil) Gomez of Fremont, Thomas Wegman of Rockwood, PA, 4 great grandchildren and Sister: Alyne Rist of Pemberville. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Samuel Wegman, son-in-law: Rodney Roth, brothers: Paul Miller, Martin Wegman, Arthur Wegman, Carsten Wegman and Theodore Wegman.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11 AM., with visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. James Budke. Interment will in Pemberville Union Cemetery, Pemberville, OH. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post #183 or the Wounded Warriors Project.
