Eleta Strausbaugh

Eleta Strausbaugh, 93, of Bowling Green, passed away, Wednesday, October 30, 2019.

Eleta was born in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Henry and Eva (Wyatt) Baker. She married Leo Strausbaugh on October 27, 1945 in Fostoria, Ohio and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2013. Eleta is survived by a daughter: Karen (Thomas) Rowe, of Britton, Michigan; sons: Randall Strausbaugh, of Bowling Green; Thomas (Pamela) Strausbaugh, of Springfield, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her 4 brothers and 15 sisters.
 

Eleta was born the 16th of 20 children and was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green. Eleta loved playing a good game of euchre and enjoyed dancing the polka, round and square with her husband Leo. She liked to crochet and won many awards at the local fairs. Eleta’s true love was her family and she cherished the time she spent with them.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019, from 1:00 – 6:00 PM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W Wooster St., PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio, scripture service will be at 5:00 PM. Additional visitation will be on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 10:00 until the time of the prayer service at  10:30AM in the funeral home followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bowling Green. Interment will follow in the Pemberville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be gifted to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to the Maurer Cancer Center.
