Enedina “Nena” Baldonado, age 77, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Nena was born on October 12, 1942 in Juanacatlan, Jalisco, Mexico to the late Mariano and Elena (Olivarez) Casillas. She married Emiliano Baldonado on October 30, 1963 and they were married 54 years until he passed away on March 21, 2018.
Nena is survived by her daughters: Nina Mominee; Julia Rios; and Josefina Garner all of Bowling Green, Ohio; sons: Andy (Kira) Baldonado of Anna, Ohio; and Albert Baldonado of Bowling Green, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters: Juana Martinez; Concepcion Casillas; Guadalupe Gutierrez; Paula Mejia; brother Gonzalo Casillas. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mariano and Elena; husband Emiliano; a daughter Emilia Martinez; grandson David Garner; brother Dimas Casillas.
Nena was a sweet, humble and selfless lady. She was a homemaker, always had food ready for anyone that might stop by, and made sure everyone was fed. She loved to dance, sing and was a member of the Spanish mass choir at St. Aloysius. Nena would pray the rosary regularly. She enjoyed collecting little nick-knacks, going to garage sales, and had a large collection of dolls. Nena had a sweet tooth, always had her coffee with a little snacky snack, and loved chicharrones. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Nena will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, OH 4302, where a Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 PM. Nena’s Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 South Enterprise Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Interment will immediately follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
