Ferguson and Headley appointed to Wood County Park District Board

Wood County Probate Judge David Woessner has appointed Rebecca Ferguson and Wendy Headley to the Wood County Park District Board of Commissioners. Both Ferguson and Headley will serve terms beginning Jan. 1, 2023, and continuing through Dec. 31, 2025.

Both Ferguson and Headley are long-time residents of Wood County with strong interests in the quality of Wood County Parks, and each have decades of administrative and business experience. In addition, both Ferguson and Headley have a history of strong public service as is evident by their participation in numerous boards, commissions and community events.

“I am very happy to appoint Becca Ferguson and Wendy Headley to the Wood County Park District Board of Commissioners,” Woessner said. “Their commitment to the parks along with their combined extensive experience in business and community affairs will benefit the Wood County Park District and all of its users in the upcoming years.”

“It was truly encouraging to have eight outstanding applicants for our two board vacancies,” Woessner said. “I enjoyed speaking with all eight. This was a decision made more difficult by the caliber of the applicants – an encouraging sign as we move forward.”

Ferguson and Headley replace outgoing Wood County Park District Board members Dennis Parish and Kim Rose.

“I would like to publicly thank Denny Parish and Kim Rose for their service on the Wood County Park District Board of Commissioners,” Woessner said. “Their work on the park board and their work in many other areas of their communities have truly benefited the citizens of Wood County.”
