Findlay High leadership team on ‘The Journal’

From WBGU-TV PUBLIC TELEVISION

Members of the Findlay High School Leadership Class will be the guests on this week’s edition of “The Journal,” airing Thursday, March 28, at 8 p.m. on WBGU-TV.

The class is in its first year at the school and was created with the goal of developing leadership skills through ownership and application.  It is designed to inspire student leaders to devise initiatives which help both the school and the larger community as well. During their “Journal” appearance, students and FHS Assistant Principal Meg Simon share how the class got its start and the projects they are currently sponsoring including those focusing on senior citizens, clean water, families who are food insecure, and students in need of bedding and other personal items.

“We are really proud of these students. Every idea and initiative is from them,” Simon said. “These students make us so proud and hopeful for the future.”

“The Journal,” which is hosted by Steve Kendall, is WBGU’s flagship weekly public affairs program covering a range of topics relating to important local issues. Check your local cable and/or satellite listing for channel information. You can also view the show online at wbgu.org.
