Forrest “Fuzzy” Fausnaugh, 67, was comforted by family and friends as he peacefully passed away on Jan. 1st 2018 at Wood County Hospital.
Forrest was born on Aug. 3rd 1950 to the late Raymond and Mildred Fausnaugh. He was proceeded in death by his brother Francis (Rose) and his sister Marie (Dallas). He graduated from Otsego High School which is where he met his wife, Geraldine Richmond. Fuzzy and Geri had two children, Joseph (Betsy) and Andrew (Joyce), and were blessed with 5 grandchildren Jacob, Maxwell, Jeremy, Elijah, and Lucas. For the last 19 years, Fuzzy had been loved and cared for by his long-time girlfriend Rose Davis. He was retired from Libby Owens Ford/Pilkington after a career that spanned over 35 years.
While his job involved the manufacture of automotive glass, Fuzzy’s true passion was working on the family farm. He, along with his son Andy, worked tirelessly to plant and harvest crops on a few parcels of property that had been passed along from previous generations. Though he never made a lot of money through his farming operation, Fuzzy became a fixture in the local agricultural community. He was always willing to lend a hand to another farmer in need and the favor was gratefully returned when he needed assistance from his friends.
To know Fuzzy was to love him. He had one of those magnetic personalities that only a truly genuine person with an over-sized heart could possess. He was a great man not due to his career or his savings account, but rather for the impactful way that he touched the lives of so many people who had the honor to call him their friend.
Friends and family will be received at the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St. P.O. Box 648 Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171, on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Forrest’s funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:30 PM.
