Thomas LaPolt

Thomas B. LaPolt, loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, 53 years young, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Thomas was born on February 22, 1964 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to Thomas and Julianne (McCarley) LaPolt. He married the love of his life Dena (Bookout) LaPolt on May 9, 1987 in Springfield, Ohio and she survives in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Along with his wife Dena, Thomas is survived by his daughter: Devin LaPolt, of Bowling Green, a son: Noah LaPolt, of Bowling Green, his mother: Julianne “Julie” LaPolt, of Beavercreek, Ohio; a sister: Anita (Michael) Gallagher, of Silver Spring, Maryland; a brother: Scott A. (Deana) LaPolt, of Douglas, Massachusetts; a sister-in-law: Darcy Inge, of Ashland, Virginia along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and a very dear and special aunt: Janet McCluer.

Thomas was a 1982 graduate of West Springfield High School in Springfield Virginia. He graduated in 1989 from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. Upon completing his college education Thomas entered the field of banking which led to his life long career in finance where he worked as a commercial business lender for First-Federal Bank. Thomas was a man who not only was a devoted son, husband and father, he was also devoted to the community he lived in worked in. He was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church, served on the board for Woodlane Residential Services and WBGU-TV as well as one of the many founders of the BLAST youth traveling baseball team and served as the Bowling Green High School Soccer Treasurer. Thomas enjoyed watching Fox News and Sports and loved being on the water driving the speed boat and jet skis, however most of all Thomas loved spending time with his family attending his children’s school and sporting events.

Thomas’ Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the First United Methodist Church, 1526 East Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-353-0682. Interment will be held privately at a later date in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle, Ohio.
