On September 28th, 2021 our Lord welcomed Francisco G. Trevino into his gates. Francisco, also known as Frank, was a United States Marine Veteran, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. Frank was known for being hard-working, loving, a rock-n-roll enthusiast, and an easygoing kind of guy.
Frank was born to Maria Garcia Trevino and Jose Davila Trevino on September 11th, 1960 in Napoleon, Ohio. There he attended Penta County Vocational High School where he learned about carpentry which would be forever known as his life-time passion. Frank joined the United States Marine Corps on his 21st birthday and later moved to San Antonio, Texas where he met Rosenda and they had three beautiful children.
Frank was a working man who enjoyed every minute he spent working alongside his two sons Robert and Paul. The boys would spend countless hours listening to Frank’s favorite tejano and rock n’ roll songs while getting the job done. He enjoyed the craftsmanship he was able to provide to his customers and was awarded and deemed the “Picasso of Siding”. He also enjoyed barbecuing for his family, watching UFC fights, taking road trips, spending time with family, and spending countless hours on the phone with his children who needed his guidance with navigating the day to day challenges life brings. His children gave him the ambition and strength to continue to provide for his family from the day they were born until his last day.
Frank loved his kids more than life itself, as he did anything and everything to be able to provide for them. With his strong work ethic, motivation and drive his children would learn nothing in this life is unachievable without a little hard work. Frank also was blessed by the birth of his first granddaughter Lilianna Lynn Trevino on November 29th, 2020. Frank loved Lily with his whole heart. She brought pure happiness to his eyes knowing a beautiful healthy baby girl would continue to carry on his legacy. Frank wanted to ensure his children and grandchildren had been given the tools needed to navigate this life, even if it meant Frank was no longer on this Earth, but in heaven.
While Frank was taken from this earth too soon, it is not up to us to question the Lord and his timing.
He is survived by his daughter Valerie Trevino, sons Robert Anthony Trevino, and Paul Anthony Trevino, granddaughter Lilianna Lynn Trevino, his granddaughter’s mother Destiny Lynn Garcia, and former wife and mother of his children Rosenda N. Trevino all of whom live in San Antonio. Frank is also survived by his brothers: Jose Jr. of San Antonio, TX; Guadalupe of Alamo, TX; Pedro of Clearwater, FL; Juan of Converse, TX; Joaquin of North Baltimore, OH; Martin of Pittsburg, PA; and Miguel of Weston, OH; Sisters: Maria (Trevino) Ybanes of Weston, OH; Juanita (Trevino) Ybanes of Bowling Green, OH; Felicitas (Trevino) Jackson of Holland, OH; Teresa Trevino of St. Petersburg, FL; Maria Guadalupe Trevino of TX; and Martina Trevino of Vermillion, OH.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Maria Trevino, his sister Petra (Trevino) Castro, and brothers: Anacleto, Rosendo, Pablo, and Jesus Trevino.
Visitation for Frank will be on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, where a rosary service will begin at 6:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402. Frank’s Funeral Mass will be on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Interment with Military honors will follow at Saint Louis Cemetery in Custar, Ohio.
