Bowling Green Community Center

(Submitted by Bowling Green Parks and Recreation)

Don’t let the rainy forecast this week get you and your family down, the BG Community Center has fun free family events planned this week.

We are more than just a fitness center, we are the best source for indoor fun for you and your family in Bowling Green.  Check out these fun events that we have planned.

Family Fun Wacky Olympic Picnic, Wednesday, June 19, 6 to 8 p.m.
Families are invited to come to the BG Community Center, bring their picnic dinner and participate in some fun and wacky competition against other participants.

Thrillin’ Thursday Team-Ups at the BG Community Center
Soccer Game Night, Thursday, June 20, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
In these fun Family Sports Nights we will have parents and children team-up to take on the  competition in the game of the night. Parents and children will  participate in the same game as teammates, having fun and going for the team victory!

We will break the game down into separate periods of play between the  different age groups so that kids will be matched up against kids from a similar age during their playing time then adults will substitute in and be matched up against other adults during their playing time.

This is your chance to be teammates while also cheering each other on from the bench in these Thrillin’Thursday Team-Ups at the BG Community Center coming in Summer 2019.   (Format subject to change based on number and ages of participants)

Participation in these events are free of charge but families that plan on participating must be present no later than 6 p.m., so that we can plan accordingly.  Event is subject to cancellation if we do not have enough people present to participate by start time.

This is a Family program that requires at least one parent and one child to participate together.  No unaccompanied adults or children will be permitted to participate. Call Ivan at 419-354-6223 for more information.
