Freezing rain glazes area roads, impacts schools, roads, library

The area is under a winter weather advisory with freezing rain continuing until noon with accumulations of up to 1/10th of an ice.

Bowling Green City Schools are closed Tuesday, Jan. 23.

Update: Snow alert lifted at 2:29 p.m.

Wood County Sheriff, Mark Wasylyshyn has placed Wood County under a Level 1 Snow Alert effective immediately. Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously.

The Wood County District Public Library is closed until noon.
