I recently heard a very disturbing ad from our state senator, Theresa Gavarone, on a local radio station. She stated that Issue 1 will REQUIRE gerrymandering. That is a blatant lie!
Issue 1 will STOP gerrymandering. It will require fair district maps for both sides of the political spectrum.
Our elected politicians have drawn redistricting maps which have been ruled unconstitutional seven times and they were not held accountable. Then they claimed that they didn’t have time to re-do the map before the last election. Are they not interested in following the constitution or are they are not competent to fulfill the responsibility of this task?
Get the politicians out of our way and vote YES on Issue 1.
