The Wood County Emergency Management Agency has issued the following advisory:
A prolonged period of well above normal temperatures is expected from Monday, June 17 to Thursday, June 20.
High temperatures will climb into the 90s with overnight lows only cooling into the 70s.
Heat indices will approach triple digits in many locations.
These prolonged hot temperatures may lead to heat related illnesses, especially for vulnerable populations and those who do not have places to cool down. Planning in advance for you, your loved ones (including pets) to stay cool is of the utmost importance.
