Jeff Klein, Emergency Management Agency director for Wood County, has issued the following advisory:
NWS Cleveland is expecting a substantial rain event beginning Thursday night into early Sunday morning. Depending on the track the storm takes, rainfall up to 3 inches can be expected. Even with the lower temperatures, little to no snow accumulation is expected. The farther north you travel, heavy snow can be expected. However, this is approximately one month worth of rain in just a few days making flooding a possibility. In the next day or two we will have better idea of what track the storm will take.
Now is the time to make sure sump pumps are in working order, drains and drainage systems are clear of debris. The EMA will continue provide information from NWS Cleveland and monitor current events.
