A woman who is reportedly homeless was arrested in Bowling Green after allegedly assaulting multiple police officers.

Love Ezell, 49, formerly of Weston, was charged with resisting arrest, assault of a police officer, OVI refusal, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to Wood County Jail and her driver’s license was confiscated.

On Saturday around 10:25 p.m., police noticed Ezell driving over a curb on Third Street, driving through grass, crossing over the centerline of the roadway, and failing to stop at stop signs in the area of High Street. She told police she was living in her vehicle with her dog.

Officers reportedly smelled a pungent odor, associated with crack cocaine, in the vehicle, and noticed that Ezell seemed confused and had difficulty performing field sobriety tests.

As police tried to place her under arrest, Ezell reportedly started scratching officers, kicked one officer in the groin, and tore a portable radio microphone off an officer’s vest.

Inside the vehicle, officers reportedly found two metal scraping tools and a screwdriver with drug residue on them, and a snuff bottle with suspected crack cocaine inside.

Police reportedly noticed an unknown object in Ezell’s bra, that was no longer there when they arrived at the jail. Deputies reportedly took Ezell to the shower area, where a crack pipe fell out of Ezell.
