Horizon Youth Theatre presents original one-act plays this weekend

Horizon Youth Theatre will present programs featuring six one-act plays written and performed by students this weekend.
The shows will be Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Otsego Elementary School, 18505 Tontogany Creek Road. Cassie Greenlee is coordinating the production and Abbey Casino is the script mentoring coordinator.
The several of the six plays will be offered each night.
On Friday the program will be:
• “#ConfusedAboutTheMuffins,” written by the 2016 Creative Minds Devising Class, mentored and directed by Cassie Greenlee with cast members Narnia Rieske, Bob Walters, Thomas Long, Eli Marx, Anne Weaver, Rose Walters, Daniel Cagle, Paige Suelzer, Brynne Dean-Scheele, Terra Sloane, and Alexandra Roberts-Zibbel.
• “The Heroes of Catalyst,” written by Yelia Xu, mentored by Megan Henisse and directed by Kristyn Curnow with cast members Kaitlyn Dorman, Isobel Roberts-Zibbel, Madison Kline, Ligaya Edge, Drew Thomas, Abi Lewis, and Alexandra Roberts-Zibbel.
• “Genie Fishing,” written by Sophia Nelson and Macyn Dean-Scheele, mentored by Bob Marzola and directed by Sarah Buchanan with cast members Anita Kukel, Liam Rogel, Thomas Long, Geoffrey Mintz, Maddox Brosius, Luke and Vance Weaver, Calista Wilkins, Terra Sloane and Rose Walters.
• “The Sea Witch’s Tale,” written by Sophi Hachtel, mentored by Cassie Greenlee and directed by Scarlet Frishman, mentored by Brittany Albrecht with cast members Narnia Rieske, Megan Clifford, Anne Weaver, Yelia Xu, Aria Weaver, Emy Wilkins and Grayson Frishman.
On Saturday the program will be:
• “#ConfusedAboutTheMuffins” and “Heroes of Catalyst”
• “The Day That Everything Went Right,” written by Thomas Long and Terra Sloane, mentored by Abbey Casino, and directed by Keith Guion with cast members Issac Douglass, Grayson Frishman, Sophia Nelson, Bella Truman, Sophi Hachtel, Alice Walters, Jonah Truman, Melissa Mintz, Bob Walters and Kaitlyn Dorman.
• “Line!” written by Maddox Brosius, mentored by Jeffrey Guion and directed by Nathaniel Naugle with cast members Luke Weaver, Grayson  Frishman, Bella Truman, Sky Frishman, Jonah Truman, Lauren Clifford, Amalia Cloeter and Vance Weaver.
On Sunday the program will be:
• “The Sea Witch’s Tale,” “#ConfusedAboutTheMuffins,” “Line!” “Genie Fishing,” and “The Day That Everything Went Right.”
