Hospital hosts Positively Pink to address women’s health concerns

From WOOD COUNTY HOSPITAL

The Positively Pink Women’s Health Series meets quarterly and covers a range of topics important to women in the community. The event begins with vendor tables offering pertinent health information on popular women’s health topics. Each event offers an expert speaker that presents a topic to improve women’s health or offer solutions to common problems women face.

The next Positively Pink will be on Thursday, September 12 at 6:30 in the Wood County Hospital meeting rooms.  Understanding vascular health is important in preventing serious, and even life-threatening diseases and conditions. There are certain things women specifically need to pay close attention to. Dr. Arthur Delos Reyes, board certified vascular surgeon, will be speaking about vascular health and sharing information about stroke, peripheral artery disease, varicose veins and others.  He will discuss what to watch for because symptoms can “present” themselves anywhere within the body.

Registration for this event is free but required and can be done by visiting our website: www.WoodCountyHospital.org/classes – Community Wellness or by calling Wellness Services at 419-354-8887.
