Jeff Dennis’ assistance to vocal music boosters demonstrates his willingness to go the extra mile

I am writing to express my strong support for At-Large City Councilman Jeff Dennis. I have had the pleasure of knowing Councilman Dennis for a number of years, and I have always been impressed by his dedication to our community and his willingness to go the extra mile for his constituents.

As one example, I belong to the Bobcat Vocal Music Boosters. We’re a small group of parents and teachers who came together to address a lack of funding for our high school choir program. We knew that the choir was a valuable asset to our school and our community, but we were struggling to raise the money needed to purchase new sound equipment.

Knowing Councilman Dennis and his experience helping similar groups throughout our community, I decided to reach out to him to see if he had any ideas. Councilman Dennis was immediately supportive of our cause. He not only met to discuss our needs, brainstorm effective strategies, and answer our questions on how to form a non-profit, but after our meeting he went on to personally write a successful grant request on our behalf. Thanks to his help, we secured a $7,500 grant from the Community Foundation and our choir program was able to purchase much-needed equipment. This equipment has helped ensure our students have the opportunity to continue to participate in a high-quality music program.

Councilman Dennis’s support for our choir program is just one example of his commitment to our community. He has been a tireless advocate for our schools, our businesses, and our families. He is always willing to listen to our concerns, and he is always working to find solutions to the problems we face.

I urge you to join me in voting for Jeff Dennis for At-Large City Council. He is a dedicated public servant who is committed to making our community a better place.
