Joanne Hipp, 76, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Monday September 11, 2017. She was born January 9, 1941 in Kenton, Ohio to Leonard L. and Kathryn M. (Lintz) Goslee. She married George Hipp on January 28, 1961 and he survives in Bowling Green.
Joanne graduated from Kenton High School in 1959 and attended Wittenberg University. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, the Bowling Green Curling Club and the Put-In-Bay Yacht club.
Along with her husband of 56 years, George, she is survived by her son Robert (Nicole) Hipp of Simpsonville, South Carolina, daughter Dianna (Tim) Barnhisel of Cygnet, Ohio, sister Jeanne (Wes) Westervelt of Perryburg, Ohio and three grandchildren Danielle (Frank) Martinez, Taylor Barnhisel and Trey Barnhisel.
She was preceded in death by a son Baby Boy Hipp and sister Carol Deaton.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 13, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday September 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Chruch, 315 S. College Drive in Bowling Green. Pastor Rob Spicer will officiate. Private interment will take place at Grove Cemetery in Kenton, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Bowling Green Curling Club.
