Joy Louise Buck, 68, of Monclova and formerly of Luckey, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green. She was born in Bowling Green, OH, on May 24, 1955, to Charles and Dottie (Haas) Sarver. Joy was a member of the Eastwood High School graduating Class of 1973 and would have celebrated her 50th year reunion this year. She married David E. Buck on March 21, 1987 in Sugar Ridge OH. Joy and David have 3 children and have celebrated over 36 years of marriage together.
In addition to being a homemaker, Joy worked as a medical transcriber. In her younger years she enjoyed playing Pool. She liked to travel with her husband David in their RV, cooking big meals and enjoyed bowling. Joy’s greatest love was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband David, Joy is survived by her children: Adam Sarver of Perrysburg, Joshua (Abigail Moore) Buck of Toledo, Alison Buck of Monclova and grandson, Xavier Sarver. Brothers: Sam (Pat) Sarver of Pemberville, Dan (Cheryl) Sarver, Tim Sarver and Andy Sarver all of Luckey. Sisters: Sara (Herman) Wensink of Custar, Mary (Thom) Jones of Bowling Green, Mother, Dot Sarver of Luckey and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Sarver.
Friends and family will be received from 4-7 P.M., Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street, Luckey, Ohio. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home 11 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2023. There will be additional visitation from 10 a.m., until time of services. Burial will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey OH. Officiating will be, Pr. Matt Barton.
