Karen A. Miller, 72, of Pemberville passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at her home. She was born September 3, 1950, to John W. and Norma J. (Waters) Miller. Following graduation from high school, she received an Associate’s Degree from Owens Community College.
Working in the clerical field, Karen, early in her career worked at the Wood County Health Department briefly and later with Bowling Green State University a total of 30 years. She was a member of Salem-Grace United Lutheran Church in Luckey. She enjoyed going to the senior center in Pemberville playing games and doing crafts, she also enjoyed participating in the senior center day trips, the local mystery tours were among her favorite. Her other joy was sewing and would display her projects at the Wood County and Pemberville Fairs.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Diana Machefski of Luckey, brother, Dan (Cathy) Miller also of Luckey. Nieces and nephews: Dustan, Michael and Malinda Machefski, Angela and Andrew Miller. Great-nieces and nephew: Grace, Gretchen and Grant. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Joseph Machefski.
Family and friends will be received 9:30-11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Salem-Grace United Lutheran Church, 216 Main Street, Luckey. Burial will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH. Officiating will be Pr. Chuck Campbell. Memorials may take the form of contributions to: Salem-Grace United Lutheran Church.
