Karl Spoores, Sr., 66, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
Karl was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to John and Lois Spoores on February 3, 1952. He graduated from Bowling Green High School, class of 1970. He married his loving wife Arlene on May 13, 1989 in the Village View Church of Christ. They spent over 30 wonderful years together.
Karl was an old-school man that worked with his hands. He was a skilled welder and retired from Chrysler. He enjoyed anything with an engine that would go fast, from drag racing and tractor pulls, to dirt track racing and NASCAR. He was the proud owner and pit crew manager of Karl Jr.’s dirt track racing team. He was a fan of the Denver Broncos and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2180 of Bowling Green. In his retirement, he worked as the caretaker and custodian for many area churches, including First Presbyterian for over 16 years.
Karl is survived by his wife, Arlene Spoores, his children; Jeremy (Leslie) Walters, Julie Spoores-Kirkman, Kyle (Jeremy) Main and Karl Spoores, Jr., his grandchildren; Logan (Malaki) Walters, Dylan (Emily) Kirkman, Devon Kirkman, Haylee Kirkman, Morgan Jones, Kloee Spoores, Jarrod Main, Conner Main, Blake Main, Peyton Carter Spoores, his great grandchildren; Abigail Wilhelm-Walters, Ayden Kirkman, Rylee Walters, his former spouses Rose Dilsaver and Melinda Slane.
