Kelly Bechstein, 55, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away quietly at home surrounded by her loving family on July 8, 2018. Kelly was born to Martin and Olive Bird Jr. on March 8, 1963 in Norwalk, Ohio. She married Herman Bechstein on April 30, 2005 and he survives her in Bowling Green.
Kelly is survived by her husband Herman; stepdaughter: Linsey Bechstein; stepgrandkids: Breeanna Welch, Bryce Bechstein, and Dyllan Atkin; brother Martin J. “Joe” Bird III of Willoughby, Ohio, Stephen (Susan) Bird of Mansfield, Ohio; and sister: Beryle Coder of Indian Rocks Beach, Fl. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents and stepson Travis Bechstein.
Kelly graduated from St. Paul High School in 1981. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and went on to work for both Wood Lane and Lucas County Children’s Services. Kelly loved to spend time at the pool and soaking up the sun on the beach and at the islands. She was a huge fan of both the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State.
Visitation for Kelly will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 2:00 PM until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171.
