Kenneth “Ken” Ray Wires, 82, son of Fred and Bessie Wires, loving husband of Patricia Wires, passed away on June 16th, 2018 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John Wires. He is survived by his wife Patricia, brother Fred (Jacque) Wires, sister-in-law Kate Wires, daughters Deborah (Ricky) Blue and Susan (Philip) Newlove, granddaughters Taylor (Tim) Chimes, Tess and Tia Newlove, and many nieces and nephews.
Ken was a graduate of Tontogany High School. He worked in autobody for Organ Collison until his retirement, bringing his love of cars and engines home with him into his own garage thereafter. For many years in his retirement, he also enjoyed driving a bus for Wood Lane Schools. He loved fishing on Lake Erie, boating and skiing on the Maumee River, and vacationing with lifelong friends at Houghton Lake in Michigan. He especially enjoyed time at home and on the patio with his beloved neighbors, family, friends and family pets. Ken was a proud member of Elks Lodge in Bowling Green as well as a member of the Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio in Tontogany. Ken spent his time making everyone feel welcome in his and Patricia’s home and in their life together of almost 60 years.
