Latta, Ghanbari, & Gardner to address BG Chamber’s Legislative Update

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Project Team will host the Annual Legislative Update for 2023. The program will take place on Friday, Aug. 25 at Wood County Job, and Family Services, 1928 E. Gypsy Lane Road in the multi-purpose room.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for networking with the program beginning at 8 a.m. Coffee and light morning refreshments will be provided.

The program will open with updates on trending topics from elected officials Congressman Bob Latta and State Representative Haraz Ghanbari followed by questions submitted by constituents through the Chamber of Commerce. Chancellor Randy Gardner will also provide an update from the Ohio Department of Higher Education that will then conclude with a conversation with attendees. (State Senator Theresa Gavarone has informed the Chamber that she will not be able to attend.)

Questions for the panel can be submitted online along along with registration prior to Aug. 17. Reservations for the event are to be submitted no later than Aug. 18 by 5 p.m. Register and submit questions on the Chamber website at bgchamber.net/rsvp.

The Legislative Update program will be facilitated by Rebecca O’Hare, the Chamber of Commerce’s receptionist. O’Hare graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology. She has a passion for local government and has been an active member of the Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Project Team since her start with the organization in early 2022.
