Lawrence “Larry” L DeLeon

Lawrence “Larry” L. DeLeon, 55, of Bowling Green, OH, devoted and loving husband of Deb Deleon passed on the morning of May 22, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, OH. He was born January 27, 1962 in Toledo, OH to Fred and Amelia (Garcia) DeLeon. Larry was a Genoa High School Graduate. Larry was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa, OH. He was an active HOG member and held the Annual Scary Larry ride to raise money for multiple charities as well as riding in various charity rides. Larry’s love of people touched thousands of hearts and even though he will be truly missed he will never be forgotten. His devotion to his family and friends could never be measured in any quantifiable way but he touched the heart of everyone who had the pleasure to make his acquaintance, leaving an impression that lasted beyond his lifetime. Larry loved life and that love was displayed in everything he did especially with his grandkids. His love of motorcycles, travel and adventure took him to places others only dream of. His desire to create things was displayed in all aspects of his life and home. But most of all, in the end, Larry loved his family and friends with an undying devotion, for this, even though he has left our world he will remain in our hearts forever. We love you Larry. He married Deborah (Roach) DeLeon February 12, 2005. She survives along with daughters, Stacey (Zach) King, Shelly (Dana) Lawrence, and Heather Piper, grandchildren, Dalton, Sydnie, Sophie, Dakota, Griffin and Raegan, brother, Johnny DeLeon, and many cousins, aunts and uncles from OH and TX. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank the staff at Promedica Hickman Cancer Center for all their support for the last 3 years. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, Tontogany, OH. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes in Genoa, OH. Interment will follow at Plain Twp. Cemetery. There will be a procession of motorcycles joining Larry for his last ride to the cemetery and all are welcome to ride.
