From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY
The month of January has a bit of a reputation as a sad month, but the Wood County District Public Library is launching Winter Book Bingo to raise your spirits through the winter months. Beginning Jan. 2, players can pick up their Bingo cards at all library locations: Bowling Green, Walbridge, or on the Bookmobile. Bingo cards can also be downloaded from the library’s website.
“This is the second year we have played Book Bingo,” said Michele Raine, Assistant Director. “We have introduced some new squares this year, such as attending a library event or participating in a 200th anniversary of Wood County activity. My favorite square is the ‘love the cover’ square because cover art really affects your decision on whether to pick a particular book off the shelf.”
The game is for readers 18 and older and can be played as either a single bingo or as a complete blackout. Single bingos are entered into a prize drawing and blackout bingos are entered into a drawing for a grand prize. The game ends on March 31, 2020 and cards need to be returned to the library before closing time that day.
“If you need suggestions for your square, just ask a librarian,” said Raine. “We love to talk about books!”
