Linda Jeffers

Linda V. Jeffers, 78 of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away, Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Toledo, Ohio, surrounded by her loving daughters.

Linda was born on November 21, 1938 in Deepwater, West Virginia, to the late Floyd C. and Katie M. (Faukner) Litton.  She married John William Jeffers on July 1, 1955 in New Haven, West Virginia and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2003.

Linda also known as “Super Mom” was a loving and supportive mother to her 7 daughters.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and canning, gardening, playing Bingo, doing upholstery, and having a house full of family and friends.   Linda also enjoyed fishing and according to her loving daughters, “the biggest fish she caught was the one that got away!”  Linda was a member of the Risingsun Women’s Fire Department Auxiliary, she was known for being ornery and was as ornery as they come! While living in West Virginia, Linda enjoyed driving the Amish to various places and appointments.  The beauty of West Virginia and her family roots was truly important to Linda as West Virginia was her home and where her heart was.  Linda will be deeply missed by her daughters and family as her family was her true pride and joy.

Linda is survived by her 7 daughters:  Deb (Dan) Bateson, of Tiffin, Ohio; Nancy Jeffers, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Christine (Kevin) Gulley, of Little Hocking, Ohio; Anita (Mike) Leady, of Risingsun, Ohio; Denise (Bill) Stephenson, of Risingsun, Ohio; Lori (Doug) Crabill, of Fremont, Ohio; Dorathy (Tom) Gangwer, of Risingsun, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sisters: Rachel Dissauer, of Risingsun, Ohio; Doris Harrah, of Little Hocking, Ohio; Janette Bloemer,  and Pat Jackson both of Waco, Texas.   Along with her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by an infant son: John William Jeffers; a sister: Arlene Riedel and brothers: Merle and Lowell Litton.
