Lloyd Earl Sapp, 88 of Weston, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Lloyd was born in McVeigh, Kentucky to Cora Mae and James Franklin Sapp on December 15, 1929. He grew up in Weston, Ohio and graduated from Weston High School. After high school, Lloyd proudly served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. During his time in the service, Lloyd was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. After his time in the service, Lloyd was very active with The American Legion post in Weston and The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1148. Lloyd loved animals and especially enjoyed taking his beloved dog Leon for walks.
Lloyd is survived by his daughters: Tammy (Charlie) Dewese, Kelly (Gilbert) Raynor; his son Michael Sapp; his brother Ronnie Sapp; and a host of loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jeanette, Mary Beatrice, Geneva, Juanita, and his brother Bob.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at the Weston Cemetery on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd’s honor may be gifted to the Wood County Humane Society at 801 Van Camp Rd, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
