My name is Sarah Haberland, and I am a current residence of Oregon, Ohio. I am also a local family law attorney and owner of Haberland Law, LLC. I am writing to voice my strong, enthusiastic support for Joel Kuhlman and his candidacy for judge of the Wood County Common Pleas Court.
I have had the privilege to litigate in front of Joel on numerous occasions, and can speak from firsthand experience on his respectful, unbiased, and fair reasoning when he issues decisions. The manner in which he conducts himself professionally is the standard that he holds himself to behind closed doors.
Joel cares deeply for his community, those that reside within that community, and is dedicated to serving them. Joel’s continued dedication supporting survivors of domestic violence, assisting those who have been incarcerated and are on a path of rebuilding their lives, and the strong support he show to impoverished individuals, is a bright light of hope and optimism the world is in desperate need of.
Not only have I experienced Joel’s respectful demeanor as a judge, but I’ve also had the opportunity to argue against him as an opposing counsel on several occasions. Even when we were on opposite sides and “fighting” for different outcomes, Joes always treated me with respect, grace, kindness, and never failed to respond in a timely manner; a trait that is not always guaranteed with the hustle and bustle of working in law.
