Luke, a 1-year-old lab mix weighing 75 pounds, was brought in as a stray to the Wood County Dog Shelter, and is looking for a home.
According to Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding, Luke is “a complete sweetheart who loves everyone he meets.” He is a stronger dog and could use some leash manners – but he is learning, she said. He has done well with the other dogs at the shelter and did well with kids who he visited with.
Luke is scheduled to be neutered next week. He will roll over and ask for belly rubs when he first meets you, Harding said.
The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed. The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
