The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department, along with sponsor Modern Woodman Fraternal Financial, is hosting a lunch time walk on Wednesday at City Park to celebrate National Employee Health and Fitness Day.

Wood County Hospital will also be on hand promoting sun safety. Participants should bring a sack lunch to the Martin & Kiwanis shelters anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

In the case of inclement weather the event will be moved to the Community Center. Drinks will be provided and everyone who walks a mile around City Park will be entered into a raffle for prizes.

The business that brings the most employees (small, medium or large category) will win a rotating trophy that they will need to defend at next year’s event.
