Magdalena ‘Maggie’ J Torres

Magdalena “Maggie” J. Torres, 43, of Portage, Ohio, passed away alongside her daughter Thursday September 2, 2021 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born June 5, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard Torres and Patricia Maldonado. She married Ryan Torres and he survives in Portage.

Maggie was the life of the party. She was extremely generous, went above and beyond for all those she knew and loved and always welcomed everyone with an open heart and open arms. She recently became “Glamma”- a role she embraced and adored. Her grandson Grayson was her absolute pride and joy. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Affectionately referred to as “My Queen” by Ryan, Maggie’s life was her family and there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with them.

She loved photography and took special interest in photographing old buildings and things outside. She had a green thumb and always kept her lawn and flowers surrounding her home beautiful. She enjoyed listening to music, collecting antique lamps and attending parties with her family and friends.

Along with her husband, Ryan, Maggie is survived by her daughter Anessa Boney of Perrysburg, Ohio, sons Ryan Torres Jr. and Crisencio Torres both of Portage, Ohio, mother Patricia (Angel) Clemente of San Antonio, Texas and her beloved grandson Grayson. She is also survived by her siblings Victor Sanchez, Angelo Sanchez, Susie Torrez, Margie Sanchez, Elizabeth Cardenas, Rosalee Kuerbitz, Tina Torres, Lisa Comstock and Maryellen Schwanberger and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Aurelia Torres, father Richard Torres and brothers Tomas Sanchez and Richard Torres Jr.

A Celebration of Maggie and Aurelia’s life will be held on Monday September 13, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Building at the Bowling Green City Park, 2294 Legion Dr. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
