A Bowling Green man was arrested in the early hours of Monday for criminal damaging and menacing at a hotel on East Wooster Street.

Tronie Dotson, 39, was taken to Wood County Jail.

Bowling Green Police responded to the hotel after a guest and a hotel employee called to say Dotson was trying to break through the guest’s door.

The guest told police that she and her three children had moved out from Dotson’s home the day before. The woman told police she told her children to go into the bathroom and close the door.

When police arrived, the hotel room door was splintered and Dotson was in the parking lot. He was taken to jail, and told he would be arrested again if he returned to the property.
