Man cited for assault after allegedly punching person trying to make him leave Taco Bell for vaping

A Findlay man was cited for assault over the weekend after he reportedly refused to stop vaping in a business, then allegedly punched a person in the eye.

Bowling Green Police responded to a panic alarm at Taco Bell, 320 E. Wooster St., Sunday around 2:15 a.m., and were told the suspect was being followed by a security guard as he headed west on East Wooster Street.

Police found the suspect, Korey Bell, 19, in the 200 block of East Wooster.

The security guard told police that Bell was using a vaping device in the restaurant. He was reportedly asked to stop, but continued to vape. The guard informed Bell that he needed to leave the establishment.

Another person at the restaurant stepped in to make Bell leave the restaurant, reportedly pushing him toward the exit. Bell allegedly punched the man in the eye. The man was treated on the scene for eye pain by BG EMS.
