Margey Cox

Margey “Marge” Cox 80, of Pemberville passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 after a valiant battle against leukemia.

She was born on May 22, 1943 in Woodville, Ohio to Gilbert and Helen (Hebler) Wagner. Marge is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald L. Cox; children Matthew (Tina) Cox of Pemberville, Ohio and Gregory (Lois) Cox of Genoa, Ohio; five grandchildren; sisters, Lois Driftmyer of Nottingham, Maryland and Evelyn Wood of Raleigh, North Carolina; special friends, sister-in-law, Robin King and niece Diane Rapier. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Eleanor Weaver and brother-in-law, Richard Driftmyer.

Marge graduated from Woodville High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She was employed by the Village of Pemberville for 30 years. She also served on the Village Council and the Tree Commission. Marge attended Salem Grace United Lutheran Church where she was active in choir, church council and the music committee. Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, bunco, and going to lunch with her friends.

Family and friends will be received 9-11 a.m., Thursday, August 3, 2023 with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11 a.m., at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, Ohio. Officiant will be, Clyde Bame. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem Grace United Lutheran Church, Luckey, Ohio or Pemberville-Freedom Area Historical Society. Marge will be laid to rest in Pemberville Union Cemetery at a family Committal Service.
