Mark L. Valentine, 74, of Bowling Green passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019. He was born on June 19, 1945 to the late Charles “Debs” and Kathryn (Tripp) Valentine in Bowling Green. He married Linda (Wahlie) Valentine on February 10, 1973 and she survives him in Bowling Green.
Mark is also survived by his daughters: Brenda (Brian) Bomberger of Hartville, OH; Debra (Jeremy) Knoff of Sylvania, OH; son John (Jennifer) Valentine of North Royalton, OH; sister Patricia Carrier; sister-in-law Phyllis Valentine; brothers: Paul (JoAnn) Valentine; Norman (Elaine) Valentine; brother-in-law Leroy Josephsen; grandchildren: Brandon, Colin, Isabel, Emma, Connor, Jacob, Grace, & Parker. Mark was preceded in death by his parents; sister Nancy Josephsen; brothers: Dudley, Dallas, Duane, & Douglas Valentine; and brother-in-law Gerald Carrier.
Mark was a plumber for local 50 and most recently was an operator for D-K Enterprises Landfill. He served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. One of his proudest moments was taking the last “Honor Flight” out of Toledo to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. He enjoyed hunting and was the king of goofy one liners. Mark was a member of Dayspring Assembly of God. Most of all Mark was proud of and loved his family.

Visitation for Mark will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM in Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory 1460 W Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, and from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 7, 2019 in the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Portage Cemetery.
