Middleton Township hosting Public Safety Day

Representatives and equipment from numerous emergency response, utility and associated organizations will be on hand Saturday, Sept. 28, as Middleton Township hosts Public Safety Day, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its complex north of Bowling Green at 21745 N. Dixie Highway.

Billed as an entertaining and informative day for the entire family, highlights ill include a landing of an air ambulance from the Promedica air fleet, a high-voltage demonstration by First Energy and an extrication demonstration by Middleton Township Fire Department. 

In addition to Promedica, First Energy and township fire and EMS departments, other scheduled participants include the American Red Cross, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Wood County Emergency Management Agency, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, the Haskins Police Department, Columbia Gas, Waterville Gas, Suburban Natural Gas and Or’s Sunoco Towing of Haskins, Toledo Children’s Hospital, and Safe Communities of Wood County.

Public Safety Day will be canceled in the event of rain.
