NAMI plans fundraisers and events for the summer

NAMI National Alliance on Mental Illness Wood County

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County is a leading self-help organization offering free events, educational classes, support groups, and other programs that address mental health for the Wood County community.

NAMI Wood County has a variety of programming throughout the year that is free and available to all Wood County residents.

NAMI Wood County is hosting its May Education Series titled “Supporting Your Financial Wellness.” The presentation will be held Thursday, May 19, from 12-1:30 p.m. on Zoom. Learn about money management, budgeting, and how your financial health can affect your mental health. Visit the website to register.

On Thursday, May 26, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., at Bowling Green State University Levis Commons in Perrysburg, NAMI Wood County will be hosting its one-day, hybrid Mental Health Conference Series available to both clinical professionals and community members. 

Titled Recovery: More Than Just a Pill, participants will learn different treatment techniques, how to connect with clients as a clinician, cultural competency, implicit bias, self-advocacy, and more. Visit to learn more and register: https://namiwoodcounty.org/mental-health-101/

NAMI Wood County will be hosting its Drive Out The Stigma Golf Outing on Friday, June 3, at Bowling Green Country Club. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., participants will be able to play golf in teams of four in the morning, followed by a taco bar for lunch.
