Nominations are being sought for the annual Black Swamp Humanitarian Awards for people who have risked their lives for others, performed extraordinary service for others, or acted as Good Samaritans in the past year. To be nominated for an award, the nominee either must be a Wood County resident at the time of the event or the event had to occur in Wood County.
Any nominations should to sent by Sept. 15 to Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn at 1960 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, 43402, or to mwasylyshyn@co.wood.oh.us.
The recipients will be honored during a dinner and program at Nazareth Hall.
