From OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Wood County in the coming weeks. All outlined work is weather permitting.
Interstate 75, between SR 582 and I-475, may experience shoulder restrictions during walking litter operations in the area.
Interstate 75, between Buck Road and Monroe Street, Toledo/Rossford/Northwood, may experience occasional lane restrictions for finish work related to a reconstruction project.
Southbound I-75, south of South Ave. will experience lane restrictions for final surface course application beginning late April/early May.
Interstate 75, between SR 795 and Buck Road, Rossford, will experience lane restrictions for reconstruction of the Lime City Road bridge through summer 2025. Additional restrictions will be announced.
Lime City Road over Interstate 75, Rossford, is reduced to one lane in each direction with a temporary traffic signal. Roadway will close fully for 120 days beginning in June.
Interstate 280, between SR 51 and SR 2, will experience lane and shoulder restrictions for resurfacing through October. Ramp restrictions and closures will be announced.
- The inside shoulder next to the median, both northbound and southbound, is closed nightly, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Work to demolish the existing median wall is under way and is moving northward.
- Southbound I-280 will be shifted to the existing outside shoulder on Thursday, April 4.
- Following the shift, traffic will be maintained in two lanes with no shoulder, from approximately State Route 2 to State Route 51, through summer.
- Ramp closures of approximately 15 minutes may occur during the shift.
- Northbound I-280 will be reduced to one lane and shifted to the existing outside shoulder on Wednesday, April 10, for 120 days.
- Following the shift, traffic will be maintained in one lane with no shoulder from approximately State Route 51 to State Route 2.
- Ramp closures of approximately 15 minutes may occur during the shift.
State Route 65, just east and west of/over Interstate 475, will be restricted through the work zone for pipeline maintenance through April 22.
State Route 163, between the north and south legs of Brander Rd., under the Ohio Turnpike, will be closed for Turnpike construction work through June. The closure will resume on Monday, April 15 and be in place through June. Lane restrictions may remain in place through summer following the closure. Contact the Ohio Turnpike for more information.
State Route 795 at Lime City Road traffic signal upgrade is under way with no current effect to traffic.
State Route 795, between I-75 and Ottawa County, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing beginning Monday, April 15 through summer. Work is planned to occur primarily overnight, 7 p.m.-7 a.m., weeknights. Short-term ramp closures may be necessary during the project.
