Jeff Orlowski shares his book with students at Elmwood Elementary School.

Jeff Orlowski recently visited Elmwood Elementary School to share his book, “Avery Green and the Spirits of Dreams” with students.

Orlowski is administrator at Wood Haven Health Care. As a child, one of his favorite movies was “The Goonies.” He wanted to write a book that would provide children with a fun adventure, like that movie did for him.

“Avery Green and the Spirits of Dreams” is about a 12-year-old girl, named Avery Green, who just lost her dad and finds she has the power to enter children’s dreams so that she can manipulate those dreams to keep children safe from their nightmares. But Avery soon learns that the queen from the world that creates children’s nightmares has found a way to destroy the world, Oneiro, where children’s good dreams come from by stealing the Spirits of Dreams. With her friends, who call themselves the Nightmare Busters, by her side, Avery sets off on a dangerous adventure in search of the stolen Spirits of Dreams to save Oneiro.

The heart of Avery Green’s story is finding one’s true self, rooted in friendship and connections.

“Avery Green and the Spirits of Dreams” is the first of the Avery Green series and can be purchased on Amazon and eBooks can be purchased on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books and other online bookstores. For a full list and to learn more about the book, visit www.jeff-orlowski.com.
