Patricia K. Madaras, 71, of Pemberville, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. She was born on May 23, 1949 in Grand Rapids MI, to Samuel and Helen (Pearl) DeVries. On August 10, 1990 she married David L. Madaras, in Fremont, OH. Patricia and David have celebrated 39 years together, and have been blessed to have been married over 30 of those years.
Patricia worked 25 years as a legal secretary for the Sandusky County Municipal and Common Pleas Courts under Judge Harry Sargeant. Among Patricia’s joys in life were: all the TV shows featuring judges and of course the courtroom drama, her beloved pet Cocker Spaniels, and her family, especially the monthly visits of the DV girls sewing and knitting days.
In addition, to her husband David, she is survived by her daughter: Sammie Morgan of Toledo. Mother: Helen DeVries of Green Springs. Sisters: Sandy DeVries of Tiffin, Susan (Larry) Cleveland of Green Springs, Rena (Bob) Thomas of Columbus, and brother: Ryan DeVries of Clyde. Brother-in-law: Duff (Tek) Madaras of Pemberville, sisters-in-law: Anne Michel of Pemberville, Sheila (Sandy) Meyer of Pemberville, 13 nephews, 7 nieces, 10 great-nephews and 10 great-nieces. Patricia was preceded in death by her father: Samuel DeVries, sister: Kathie DeVries, brother-in-law: David Michel, William Madaras and her pet Cocker Spaniels: Alf and Pirate.
There are no public services at this time.
