Beeker’s will also be hosting a “sign” class where paid participants will paint a wooden sign of their choice and affix a vinyl Valentine sentiment of their choosing (two options will be offered.) Please see beekersgeneralstore.com for photos of the class project and details.
This class will be led by Cathy Callahan. Registrations can be made by calling Beeker’s at 419-287-3274.
Art enthusiasts will also find a display of artwork by participants of Beeker’s monthly Arty Party painting classes with Rebecca Booth. This canvas art will be on display from Feb. 8-17 at Beeker’s General Store. Patrons will have the chance to vote for their favorite paintings with the first place winner receiving a “free” future Arty Party class of their choosing.
This exhibit is open to all ages who have participated in one of the Pemberville Arty Parties. Entrants must submit their canvases before Feb. 5 and delivered to Beeker’s during normal business hours.
Also, in downtown Pemberville, extras by maams will be demonstrating how to do the Byzantine chain manilla weave, using colored aluminum rings. This weave can be used to create a variety of jewelry items. Stop by the shop on Front Street both Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to view the bracelets being created and ask questions of the artisan.
Behind the Pines will be demonstrating how to make poms poms with yarn on Feb. 8 and 15, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. They are a trend right now in home decor and more. Items made with pom poms will be on display. The shop is located at 139 E. Front St. in Pemberville.
