Penny Gonzales, 50, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away unexpectedly May 27, 2017. Penny was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to Roger and Patty (Tolle) Lewis. She married Charles “Charlie” Gonzales on July 15, 2000 in Bowling Green, Ohio and he survives.
Penny graduated from Otsego High School in 1984. She was employed by Toledo Mold and Die for the last 14 years as a 5k coordinator and was known as “Mama Penny” to those she worked with. Penny enjoyed camping, playing softball and was a member of Village View Church of Christ. Penny was known to help anybody in need and would never turn anyone away. Her family was the most important thing to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and even got her daughter Jami and her husband Trent together.
Along with her husband, Charlie, and her mother Patty, Penny is survived by her daughters: Keri Pauff of Bowling Green, Ohio; Jami (Trent) Lambert of Lake Station, Indiana; stepson: James (Christina) Gonzales of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren: Nathaniel, Alexus, Trent Jr., Riana, and Bryson; brother: Jeffrey Lewis of Bowling Green. Penny was preceded in death by her father, Roger Lewis.
Visitation for Penny will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 10:00 AM to the time of her funeral service at 1:00 PM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Interment will immediately follow in Tontogany Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in Penny’s honor may be given to Village View Church of Christ.
